Terms of Service
What you get.
What you pay.
What you own.
This page summarizes how we work. Your individual service agreement governs the specific terms of our engagement. Every client relationship is documented with a signed agreement before any work begins.

This is not your contract.
This page describes how Built by Cameron operates. The binding terms of your engagement are in the signed service agreement you receive before any work begins. If anything here conflicts with your signed agreement, the signed agreement controls.
1. The Setup
$5,999.
Everything custom-built.
You own it when it’s done.
The setup fee covers building your website and practice management platform, customized for your practice area and the way you work.
Payment structure
50% deposit to begin, 50% upon completion. The completion payment includes your first month of service.
You own everything
Upon full payment, the website, the platform, the domain configuration — all of it is yours. We deliver all credentials on an encrypted flash drive.
Sign-off required
You review and approve the finished build before we consider it complete. We don't close the project until you confirm it works.
If we can't finish
If we're unable to complete the agreed scope, you receive a full refund. No partial credit. Full refund.
2. What’s Included
Everything you need to run a modern practice.
- Custom website designed for your practice area
- Practice management platform — CRM, scheduling, invoicing, client portal, email marketing
- Domain configuration and SSL security
- Transactional email setup — automated reminders and receipts sent from your domain
- Training materials — recorded videos, written guides, and CSV templates for importing your data
- One mandatory month of service — use it for onboarding, training, transition, or any combination
3. What’s Not Included
Clear boundaries prevent surprises.
Client data migration
We provide templates and guides, but you upload your own data. We never access your client information.
Payroll
If you have staff, keep your existing payroll service. The platform doesn't replace it.
Custom development
Work beyond the standard platform can be scoped and quoted separately if needed.
Content writing
We build the pages. You provide the words, or hire a copywriter.
4. Ongoing Service
One flat rate.
Everything runs.
As-needed
No commitment, pay per hour of work
$150/hour
Month-to-month
Cancel with 30 days notice
$399/month
6-month prepay
Pay 5 months, one is free
$1,995
12-month prepay
Pay 9 months, three are free
$3,591
What's included every month
Hosting, platform, maintenance, security patches, and new features as they release. The system stays current without you having to think about it.
Support
5 support requests per month, 24-hour response time. Unused requests roll over — they don't disappear at the end of the month.
Users
Up to 5 users included in the flat rate. If your practice grows beyond that, reach out and we'll work something out.
5. You Own Everything
We build the property.
You own the property.
Your website is yours from the moment you pay in full. Your data is yours — always has been, always will be. The platform is open source, so there’s no vendor lock-in and no proprietary trap.
If you want to take full control immediately — manage your own server, handle your own updates — we hand over everything: server access, credentials, documentation. We retain nothing.
We’re the property manager.
Only if you choose us to be.
Ongoing service keeps the property in good shape — hosting, updates, security, support. But the property was always yours. You can take full control at any time, for any reason, with no friction.
6. Our Data Promise
We never see your client data.
That’s the architecture.
Your practice management system is configured so that our maintenance account cannot access client records, invoicing, portal messages, or intake forms. We can update your website design and system configuration without viewing any client information.
This is how the system is built — not just a policy we follow.
Why this matters for attorneys
Attorney-client privilege doesn’t pause when you hand a vendor server access. Our architecture is designed so that question never comes up. We service the infrastructure. We don’t touch the files.
7. Cancellation
Leave any time.
Take everything with you.
Notice
30 days written notice to cancel ongoing service. You pay through the end of your next billing cycle — one additional month.
What you keep
Everything. The website, the platform, the data, the domain configuration. It was always yours.
Prepay cancellation
Refund for unused months, minus one closing month. The closing month serves as your transition period.
Your final month
Use it however you need — self-managed transition, finding another vendor, or just keeping things running while you plan.
8. Independent Consulting
After your engagement ends, we’re still available.
Need help later — a one-off question, a configuration change, extra training for a new hire? Independent consulting is available at $150/hour.
No retainer required. No standing relationship needed. Just reach out.
9. Liability
Business infrastructure, not legal advice.
We build technology
Not legal advice, not compliance counsel. You are responsible for ensuring your website content meets your state bar's advertising rules.
Liability cap
Our maximum liability is capped at the total amount you have paid us.
Accessibility
We build to WCAG 2.2 AA standards and will work promptly to resolve any accessibility issues raised.
